Microsoft Office is currently available for free to all registered Cornell students and can be downloaded HERE. For more information on how to set your primary email account, please click HERE This will ensure that you receive all email from both universities in one location. It is strongly recommended that you choose one to be your primary account and redirect the other school’s email to that account. While the program portal is the primary source of program information, email is still used and it is critical that you regularly monitor both email accounts. Macs have limitations in the program environment and the IT teams at each school support them on a best effort basis.Īs an EMBAA student, you are given two email addresses (one from Cornell and one from Queen’s). Please note that while using VMWare Fusion will allow you to run Windows and Windows programs, it requires between 40GB and 60GB of your hard drive and can consume half of the computer's processing power when using Windows. You would also need a copy of Windows 10 and the PC based Office 365. VMWare Fusion will allow you to run a virtual copy of the Windows operating system in the Mac OS. There are third party applications that accomplish the same task but they look and respond differently from those used during instruction.
In particular, Microsoft Excel for Mac is missing add-ons that are native to Excel for a PC. Some applications may look and respond differently in the Mac OS environment.
